This post might make a few people a tiny bit angry, or maybe they won't care. Either way, I love offending people, so it'll make me happy.
Everyone loves those awesome and funny movies like Superbad, The Hangover, and Pineapple Express, right? Wrong! I hate them so much that I can't even express how much anger they make me feel. Everyone thinks they're hilarious when they are just complete wastes of brain cells. There is no cleverness involved in any of these movies' humor, and they are in fact part of a new generation of movies directed at one target audience. The immature, young and stupid. And if you think I'm just ranting and exaggerating, I can tell you that I'm not. Just recently in an interview with one of the most famous actresses of our time, Meryl Streep, about her new movie The Iron Lady, Miss Streep spoke about just such a generation of movies.
It is the film industry's duty to match their new movies up with the minds, creativeness and maturity with the people who watch their movies. Obviously by looking at the crap that's played in our theatres lately and how many people have watched those movies, they are doing a good job. You want to be another statistic in the "Immature Movie Generation"? Be my guest, just don't tell me how awesome the movies are because I don't want to hear it.
Words of wisdom for today, "Don't place metal in the microwave. You might cause a rift in the space time continuum."
